Ms. Helen O’Dea Retiring
Miss Helen O Dea retires tomorrow from teaching duties in the School. On behalf of everyone in the school, pupils, parents, staff and Board of management, we thank Helen for her wonderful contribution to Blarney Street.

Dogs in the Yard
Dogs should not be brought in to the school yard. However in exceptional cases when they are brought in they should be on a lead and under the supervision of and adult in the school yard.
Lord Mayor
The Lord Mayor will visit the school on Monday the 12th of October at 10.10am. As with recent years there WILL NOT be a half day.

Parent 2 parent Workshops
These workshops are designed for those who would like to increase their knowledge and train as parents to be a barrier between children (age 7-13) and the influence of today’s so called “Toxic Culture”
4 Tuesday mornings from 9.15-1.15
22nd and 29th September, 6th and 13th of October.
Those workshops are free of charge. Application forms available in the office.
Cathedral Credit Union
The Credit Union will resume again on Thursday the 10th September for the boys in the school.

We have the revised School Calendar August 2009 – June 2010 on the back of the school Newsletter and on our blog. Please note that there are some changes made to it. please ignore previous calendars.
Swine Flu precautions
We are recommending each child has his own towel. The towels are being dragged on the ground and getting dirty so maybe a small face cloth might be a better option. Please wash the towels on a regular basis.
Confirmation
The confirmation will be on Monday 19th April 2010 for 6th Class only.
