It is with great sadness that we wish to inform you of the sudden death of Paddy Mulcahy, former Chairperson of the Board of Management and Principal of the North Mon Secondary school. Paddy passed away unexpectedly on Sunday. Ba chara mór é paddy don scoil, iar scoláire ab ea é agus rinne sé an chuid oibre ar son na daltaí. Ar dheis dé go raibh a anam.
He will be sadly missed. Our thoughts are with his family and friends and especially his daughter Bríd Connolly who teaches with us.
Reposing at O’Connor Bros Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge. Removal at 7pm this evening to the Church of Our Lady Crowned, Mayfield. Requiem Mass tomorrow (Wednesday) at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Kilcully.
Red Day-Friday 18th September.
We will have a no uniform day on Friday 18th September for charity. The cost is 2 euro per family. Please wear anything red to show our support for the cork football team next Sunday.
Sport: Swimming
Swimming begins again this Friday the 18th September for 2nd, 3rd and 4th calss. The bus leaves the school at 9.30.

The boys won their match today against Knocknaheeny. Well done boys. They will play Sunday’s Well Boys National school on Thursday the 17th September at 1.00.

They will hold thier open day for Autumn courses in Blackpool Shopping centre this Thursday the 17th September, from 10.30 – 1.00.

Please find attached Application Form for Pupil Personal Accident Insurance 2009/10. This Pupil Personal Accident Insurance has been passed by both the Board of Management and the Parents’ Association. it is optional for each parent, the cost is low and it offers cover for school activities for 5 euro or 24 hour cover for 8 euro. We recommend that all parents avail of it.
