Our school welcomed Lord Mayor Darra Murphy and his wife Tanya to our school today. The brass band gave them a musical reception. The Mayor told the boys he was delighted that they were doing so much to maintain the beautiful city of Cork and he congratulated the green patrol for their efforts which got our school two green flags.
He also told the boys that he was impressed by all the activities they were involved in ..drums, guitar, piano, hurling, football, swimming, computers, gaeilge… and that it was important to keep these up in school.
The boys were rewarded with homework off!
Mr. Murphy then presented a boy from 3rd class with a certificate for good attendance.The First Lady was presented with a bunch of Flowers from the boys in Junior infants. Thanks for visiting us Lord Mayor.
