Scoil Cholmcille,Blarney Street will remain closed tomorrow( Tues 12th Jan). We expect to reopen on Wed 13th but a final decision will be made tomorrow Tuesday. This change is because of the Minister of Education’s decision today to allow schools at local level to decide whether they should open or not.
The Minister for Education and Science has told all primary and post-primary schools to close on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week due to the bad weather.
This decision is in the interest of the welfare of school children.

Dear Parent
The current weather conditions are presenting problems for everyone. The school’s heating, water and access have been satisfactory so we have not been affected. We continue to monitor the situation and plan to open as normal next Monday. However if the weather worsens and the situation deems we need to open later or even close the school you will be informed in the following ways;
1. By text (if you have given correct mobile number).
2. By ringing school 0214397000. The school answering machine will contain the latest information.
3. By visiting the school’s new blog page on web www.cholmcillecbs.scoilnet.ie/blog
