EXTRA STAFF MEETING:
The Department of Education has just informed us that we have a Staff meeting on Friday September 17th, Junior & Senior Infants 12:20
1st to 6th Class – 12:30

SCHOOL ASSEMBLY:
The Bingo Committee has organised to have our hall painted and is paying the total cost. Thank you very much to all who attend Bingo every Friday night. We will hold our
first assembly on Thursday week 16th Sept. in our freshly painted hall.

MUSIC LESSONS:

Lessons are commencing this week on all instruments: piano, drums, violin, flute, guitar and rock band. Both Brass bands will start back next week when the hall has been painted.
Recorder:
Group lessons are now being offered on recorder to 1st, 2nd and 3rd class. This class will be held on Wednesdays 14:20 – 14:50. It will start tomorrow, so please let your class teacher know if you are interested.

STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTS:

Last year grants given total = €177602.04, Expenses paid out = €148056.64
(Example of Expenses:- Teaching Aids €5097.72, School Supplies & Photocopying €5802.20,
Insurance €5649.15, Heating €4428.77)

SPORT – FOOTBALL :

Best of luck to 5th and 6th classes who are currently training for the inter-school Sciath na Scol competition which will be held shortly.
SPORT – SWIMMING :

Swimming is starting up again on Friday 17th September for 2nd & 3rd class.
The cost for this term (Sept to Dec) is €45.

SCHOOL JERSEY:

FREE FAMILY FUN DAY:

St. Mary’s on the Hill, 20th Anniversary, Saturday September 11th, 2-5pm (weather permitting). Terence McSwiney Sports Grounds, entrance at Hollyhill Lane. All Welcome—Free Admission.

CREDIT UNION:

The school Credit Union is starting up again this Thursday.
