3rd and 4th class Hurling Tournament.

After a very exciting final match, Foireann a Cúig won the 3rd and 4th class Hurling tournament!

ASSEMBLY NEXT WEDNESDAY 2ND MAY AT 8:40A.M., ALL WELCOME!
F I R S T  H O L Y  C O M M U N I O N :
First Holy Communion is on Saturday 26th May.
The final Blazer fittings are being held this Wednesday 25th April at 1:45 in Mr Russell’s room. The cost is €25.00, which includes a refundable deposit of €10.

N E W  J U N I O R  I N F A N T S :
Open day for new infants next Wednesday 2nd May. Parents of the incoming children are welcome to attend our morning assembly with their children at 8:40a.m. in the hall. Main meeting at 9:15a.m. in Mr. Russell’s classroom.
SCHOOL TOUR – 3RD/4TH/5TH/6TH CLASS BOYS:
Boys are going to the Glen Resource for their school tour on Wednesday 13th June, leaving school at 9:30a.m. and returning at 4:30p.m. The total cost for each boy for the school tour is €24.

SCHOOL TOUR – 1ST/2ND CLASS BOYS:
Boys are going to the Mardyke Arena for an activity-filled day for their school tour on Friday 4th May, leaving school at 9:30a.m. and returning at 4:30p.m. The total cost for each boy for the school tour is €16 which also includes the bus, please bring in before Friday 4th May.

S P O R T S   F L A G :
We are delighted to be one of the first schools to win the Gradam Sports Flag from Sciath na Scoil.  This is an award which acknowledges our commitment to sport in the school. Well done Mr. Casey and Mr. Russell for all your hard work. The Gradam Sports Flag was raised today and a big thank you to St. Vincents coaches who came to see the flag being raised.
S P O R T – H U R L I N G :
Congratulations to the 3rd & 4th class boys for their brilliant performances in our school indoor hurling competition. Well done to the following winning team; Ryan Kenefick,
Cameron Odebiyi, Jake Murray, Emmanuel Eze, Jack Connolly and Jordan Kearney. The boys raised our new sports flag for the first time today and pictures will be in the Evening Echo soon!
S P O R T – C H E S S :
Congratulations to Ice Ybanez who was the winner of the ’Maurice Dennehy Chess
Tournament 2012’, this is a new chess tournament being held for boys in Scoil Cholmcille.
W.O.W – WALK ON WEDNESDAY :
Remember to put on your walking shoes tomorrow and walk or ’park and stride’ to school if you can.
