CONNEMARA 100 IN AID OF SCOIL CHOLMCILLE:
We are really delighted to let you know about the efforts of one Dad to raise funds for our school!! Pat O’Keeffe, whose son Eric is in second class, is running the Connemara 100 in aid of Scoil Cholmcille.
This is a 100 mile road-race, which has to be completed in less than 30 hours, so participants must keep going day and night. Pat has been training hard for this event, which takes place on August 11th and 12th this summer.
All funds raised will go towards our music scholarship programme, which supports our talented and hardworking music students by contributing to fees and musical instruments.
“Gentle words make may friends” Here in Scoil Cholmcille CBS friendship is very important to us, we will celebrate friendship day June 15th, all boys will take part in making a friendship wreath to symbolize our school community. Boys will take part in other activities to encourage friendship also, but remember boys most importantly that your “gentle words make many friends”.
