ASSEMBLY IN THE HALL TOMORROW MORNING AT 8:45  –  ALL ARE WELCOME

4TH CLASS WILL BE TELLING US ABOUT THEIR NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS :

 

Half day for Primary Languages Curriculum webinar.  School will close at 12:30 on Friday 22nd January for staff training in the new primary languages curriculum. 

All children must be collected at 12:30.

 

PARENT TEACHER MEETINGS :

Parent Teacher meetings will be held on the next two Mondays (18th and 25th) of January, your son’s class teacher will be in contact with you to organise a suitable time.  Classes will finish as normal and homework club will take place as normal.

 

CREDIT UNION IS STARTING UP AGAIN THIS THURSDAY

ALL MUSIC LESSONS WILL START UP NEXT WEEK

SWIMMING :

Swimming is starting up this Friday for 2nd and 4th class –  €45 for the term (this includes gala at the end of year).  Please make sure boys have their swimming shorts, goggles, hat and towel.  (4th class boys parents are not allowed in the changing area).

 

 

Vex Iq :

The two fifth classes will be taking part in the 1st Annual Vex Iq Scrimmage in Blarney Street on Friday from 10 to 12 in the school hall. The boys will get to test their driving skills against two other local school in a friendly competition to prepare for the main event to be held in CIT at the end of the month. Best of luck lads!

Our two chess teams will be taking part in a chess competition in the Cork Chess Club this weekend. Eldon O’Connor, Emmet Roche, Aaron O’Connell and Burach Dwyer Harrington are on the first team and Jerome and Tyrone Williamson, David Butler and Tadgh Kennedy are on the second. Best of luck lads!

Reading for Fun :

Reading for Fun returns in 2nd class this term. An introduction session showing what games we will use will be held tomorrow for parents interested in taking part in the staff-room. This will only take a few minutes and will be held immediately after the assembly. In-class sessions will start next Tuesday the 19th at 9.00 a.m. for half an hour. Please note if your cannot stay around for this you can still take part. Mr Buckley can show any parents interested how to play the games on the morning of the 19th.

Sale in the Naionra :

The Naionra is having a sale of all it’s toys and equipment tomorrow from 1.15 p.m on-wards. Any parent interested in having a browse is welcome to call in tomorrow until the end of the school day.

Attendance :

We are delighted to announce that children who have full attendance for the school year 2014-2015 will receive their certs tomorrow at assembly. Well done lads!
